Slots are one of the most liked games to wager on at casinos. On any given night, expect most of the machines to be packed with eager players. They appear in a variety of gambling levels; some just cost five cents a play and others can cost as much as twenty dollars a play. Although slots are a betting tool, a number of folks are intimidated by the big money table games and prefer the fun and excitement of an excellent slot machine.
The first mechanical slot machine was assembled in 1895 and was called the "Liberty Bell." Created by a California machinist, the 1st slot machines had three reels with a cracked Liberty Bell, diamonds, hearts, and spades painted on each. Before this invention, the phrase "slot machines" was employed to characterize several kinds of vending machines.
The first real across the board use of slot machine games in American casinos is credited to the Flamingo Hotel, Las Vegas in and around the 40’s. The administrator of the casino had originally thought the machines would be perfect to captivate bored wives of a few of the biggest high roller customers of the casino. Little did he know that slot machines would be a fun game for almost everyone and that the enticement would extend beyond the the bored wives. Now, it is said, slot machine games make up over 2/3rds of all revenue generated by American casinos.
Slots beyond a doubt have a rich history. From the petite creation of the mid-19th century to the multi-million dollar business of today, slot machines will continue to expand in universal appeal.
