There’s an urban tale out there concerning a guy who could go into any Betting house in any city, walk right up to a slot machine game, whisper some thing into its slot, tug on its arm and out would pour a jackpot.
He was known as the Slot machine Whisperer.
Well, I’ve certainly not met anyone similar to that. But in almost every Gambling den I have been I have heard persons talk of this legend.
I have viewed people talk to slot machines. I have viewed people yell at slot machines. I’ve noticed individuals smack slot machines. Except I have in no way viewed them win the jackpot following doing such a thing.
The first time I heard about the Slot machine game Whisperer I was in a Reno Gambling establishment. I was wagering black jack when I heard a thrill go by way of the Betting house. The player next to me, his name was Steve, informed me that the buzz was because somebody had seen the Slot machine Whisperer enter the Gambling establishment. He then went on to tell me the story of the Whisperer and how he had conquered slot machines.
Shortly right after that there were security personel milling about all over the place. And they had been all headed straight to the slot machine pit.
He advised me this was extremely uncommon as the Slot machine Whisperer was a quite soft man. And that he only took the jackpot from one slot machine. He in no way tried to take a Betting house for each and every slot machine jackpot. He also told me that the Whisperer also gave 50 % of his slot machine jackpots to an orphanage. He wasn’t a money grabbing man.
A few minutes later we saw security carrying a guy out of the slot pit. The word was that he wasn’t the Slot machine Whisperer except some crook who was attempting to use an electric gadget to defraud the slot machine games.
I’ve in no way run into the Slot machine Whisperer. I do not know if he even exists. I think of him as an urban tale or a myth some slot machine player dreamed up.
But the thought of an individual who can master slot machines just by speaking softly to them is sort of intimate. Like a modern day Gambling house Robin Hood.
